What TrueTap does not claim
TrueTap focuses strictly on physical trust, authentication, and integration enablement:
- Not a full asset-management platform: TrueTap does not replace your ERP, CMMS, or enterprise asset-management software.
- No inventory accounting or ERP registers: Depreciation schedules, financial registers, and accounting books remain in your core enterprise platform.
- Passive NFC is tap-based: TrueTap tags do not contain batteries or internal GPS engines. Tap verification occurs on deliberate, proximate interaction.
- No continuous long-range tracking: Passive NFC provides cryptographic presence and custody verification at checkpoints, not active satellite tracking.

When connected with AssetShield, TrueTap tags enable chain of custody, verified handoffs between personnel, checkpoint scans, status events, tamper events, and a complete auditable movement and event history.
This integration is completely optional. AssetShield is not a full asset-management platform. Alternatively, customers can integrate TrueTap secure NFC identity directly into their own in-house asset-management system, ERP, maintenance system, inspection platform, security system, or operational platform through our native SDKs and REST APIs.
